Lake District postcards

This post isn’t from a far-flung corner of the world. We’re just back from a few days in the Lake District in early January (brrrr!) and I decided to share some of my best photos from our 4 or 5 trips up here. The Lakeland fells don’t have stats to match up to the world’s great mountain ranges, instead they have an ageless atmosphere that you can’t help soaking up when you’re striding along a breezy ridge surrounded by the gnarled and rugged peaks.

If there’s one part of the UK I would urge any visitor to put on their itinerary, it would be the Lake District.
