Costa Rica and Panama for Christmas

We started in Costa Rica looking for mammals, and ended in Panama with a few days unwinding in Bocas del Toro and a quick look at the city and canal.

Two sides of Panama - the modern city, and the old town - Casco Viejo

Mind you, even the old town is a long way from fully restored

Panama (and Costa Rica) both feel a bit half-developed

Even in the city, the heat and humidity are exhausting

One final day, and we really ought to take a look at that big canal

The Milaflores locks, impressively big, takes patience to watch a ship all the way through
