Love in the tropics

Love means tickling your beloved under the chin when they have an itch
Or standing diligent guard over them while they are nesting
Love leads to beautiful and graceful courtship rituals
Or requires you to look the other way while your other half is embarassing on the dancefloor
There is the love of a mother for a child, which requires infinite patience
And brotherly love, of course
There are some loves that were never meant to be
And there is love between you and me
